DAV follows the CBSE syllabus –a synergistic mix of sports, music, dramatics, dance and computer education with academic classes. In the Pre-Primary section the curriculum is a fine amalgamation of less work and lots of play. The classroom sessions are interactive. We move towards achieving high academic standards through seminars, workshops and by inviting well-known experts in their field to give presentations and demonstrations to the students. Games and sports are an integral part of the curriculum. Inter-house competitions are organized. Professional coaches for various games are engaged. Regular physical exercises and yoga are a part of the school curriculum and the students are trained to participate in state, national and international championships. Classical music and dance performances are added attractions.
The School is administered through various departmental Co-ordinators. The teachers are exposed to various reorientation and refresher courses that help in improving their proficiency and efficiency. I am proud of having a team of dedicated and qualified teachers. Our Library is a treasure-house of knowledge. All students have free access to the library. It is equipped with a large number of video and audio cassettes. We have State of Art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
